HEEP UK TOUR 2004

Edinburgh 29th October and the start of one of the great weeks in our lives, the venue was an underground nightclub and it was so full you could not turn around, the atmosphere was great and Heep hit the stage with Blood Red Roses WOW!!!!!! Tina and I were stood right in front of Mick Box and we fell under Heeps spell ,Year or a Day was great as was When the War is Over, Bernie had everyone singing "Aint nobody gonna steel this heart away" Fantastic !!!!!!!!! 

Carlisle 30th October the venue was a huge sports hall with a big crowd over 1,500 people the stage was very high so Tina and I stood near the back and still had a good view, this was a great show, the sound was perfect, the light show was brillant and Heep just blew us away. 

Manchester 31st October the venue was the famous Manchester Academy a good venue Tina and I stood near the back again as it is the best place to hear the Heep sound by now we are singing along to every song just great We are staying in the Britannia Hotel and at breakfast on Monday morning I see one of Heeps crew (the drum tech) and I say to Tina I wonder if Heep are also here WELL !!!!!!! as we leave to go upstairs to our room who do we meet on the stairs !!!!!!!! Mick Box its handshakes, hugs and kisses for Tina he is such a nice man !!!!!!!! so we are on a high can it get any better well as we check-out waiting in the lobby is Lee Kerslake, Tina bold as ever goes over and says hello and we talk about the different venues and he says he has seen a nice electronic drumkit in a music shop just across the road and he is going to try it out !!!!!!!! just great and as we step outside to go to our car park there is the Heep Tour Bus, well I pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming !!!!! 

Liverpool 1st November and the famous Liverpool Carling Academy great venue good crowd I nave a great place near the back Tina is near the front so she can wave to Mick well Heep have the place "Rocking" you can tell the people who have not seen Heep for a long time by their faces, they are just blown away. Back home to Salisbury now and back to work but still two more Heep shows to come !!!!!!!! 

Bristol 4th November the famous Colston Hall I was last there in 1977 to see Heep on the Firefly Tour and it is still a great venue and again what a fantastic show !!!!!!!! we have two friends with us who know of Heep from the 1970s they are just "blown away" and cannot believe the energy that Heep put into the show 

London 6th November MBP Shepherds Bush Empire this is the big show of the tour 3,000 people from all over the world we did not have a good view as the standing area was so full but the sound was great and Heep had the crowd "Rocking" the drum solo on" Look at Yourself" with Osibisa was great our two friends were with us again and they loved every minute !!!!!!!!!!  We then headed to Bush Hall for the aftershow party and it was full with fans waiting for Heep to arrive and at about 12.30am they did, there was a private room upstairs for the Band their friends and families and the press and Heep went up there when they first arrived all but one !!!!!! Yes the wonderful Mick Box he was with his fans for nearly two hours from start to finish Shaking hands,Signing everything that he was asked to,Posing for photos,Talking to fans !!!!!! WELL Rose one of our friends went and talked to Mick and told him that Ricky and Tina had been following the tour and would love to meet you again" WELL TAKE ME TO THEM" so Rose held Micks hand and led him to the front of the Hall where Tina and I were standing "I remember you Mick said to Tina ,Hugs Kisses, Handshakes Photos, I am just "gobsmacked" "is it a dream" and as Mick is being led away by other fans Tina says "we will see you in Berlin Mick" "I will look out for you" is the reply. And a fantastic week with Heep ended it was a week we will  never forget, Tina said while walking back to our hotel after the party "I wish Enrico and Tina could have been here" and I wish too !!!!!!!
